Counselor & Co-founder
I was educated at Teachers College, Columbia University with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology.
For over 10 years I have worked as a bilingual public school counselor, first at Mamaroneck High School and currently at New Rochelle High School. At both schools I have been actively involved in counseling 9th through 12th grade students in their emotional, social, and academic development in addition to helping them connect the pieces between their strengths, passions, and dreams.
I stay current on college planning and the application process by visiting numerous college campuses every year as well as maintaining and developing relationships with college admissions officers and attending higher education conferences. I am a member of school counseling associations including WPRCA (Westchester Putnam Rockland Counseling Association), ASCA (American School Counselor Association) and NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling).
Other previous experience includes working with special needs students through BOCES, serving as a program coordinator at Columbia University's Summer High School, and running after-school programs that encourage creativity, technological fluency, and self-directed learning.
